Angus cattle with calves on the Virginia farm
Our Story

Rooted in the Blue Ridge

In the 1970s, Billy Frost — a young man with a vision and the drive to back it up — took out a loan and bought a dairy farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains outside Galax, Virginia. It was a bet on hard work, and it paid off. Over the decades, more land was acquired as opportunities came along — piece by piece, always earned, never handed over. Every acre was worked, improved, and built into what the farm is today: over 400 acres of Virginia mountain ground.

Eventually the dairy gave way to beef cattle, and the focus shifted to raising Black Angus. That transition carries on today — the same land, the same work ethic, and a family that hasn't stopped building on what Billy started more than 50 years ago. The cattle are the backbone of the operation, but we've built outward from there: firewood, bush hogging, plowing, and other farm services that keep us busy year-round.

Charlotte, NC — The Micro Farm

The Charlotte operation is smaller in scale but built on the same principles. A micro farm in the greater Charlotte area gives us a footprint in North Carolina — closer to customers who want locally sourced firewood, farm services, and eventually, direct access to our beef.

It's a different landscape from the Blue Ridge, but the work ethic is the same. We bring equipment, experience, and a straightforward approach to everything we do.

What Drives Us

We're not trying to be the biggest operation around. We're trying to be the most trustworthy.
